The Leidos Defense Group has an immediate career opportunity for a Systems Design Developer, based at Stuttgart, Germany.

Leidos has established upcoming positions throughout the European theater supporting multiple customers for the Department of Defense.


We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement EUCOM’s mission objectives.
This opportunity is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany.
This position is required to travel OCONUS.

Primary Responsibilities:
The designer will work with a Product Owner and technical team to Illustrate design concepts using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
Will utilize typography and typographic principles, branding and design experience for responsive web, color theory, and have an eye for modern design.  Will use Adobe Creative Suite for design, will develop with SharePoint tools and create custom solutions in .NET/Angular/Bootstrap.  Designs elegant, simple, human-centric flows and experiences as we define new initiatives and iterate on existing features.
Design clean user experiences in accordance with modern design principles.
Clearly articulate designs to development teams and product owners.
Translate designs into front end interfaces using HTML5(header, section, article,  tags), CSS3(selectors, viewports  and media queries).

Experience and skills:
Must have ability to present as storyboards, mockups, or functional shell interface.
Expertise in Axure, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Creative Suite.
Working knowledge of modern design frameworks such as Google Material, Bootstrap.
Strong knowledge of design principles such as responsive design, graceful degradation, progressive enhancement, and adaptive design.
Ability to quickly consume and interpret user experience requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS and 4-8 years of experience in a Systems Design, Front End Development or similar type role. Additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Excellent communication & collaboration skills and able to work in an open office environment.
An Active Secret Clearance is required.
TS/SCI Clearance Must be Obtainable.
Must have strong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leaders.
Must possess IAT Level II certification(s) IAW DoD 8570.1.
Must be able to meet TESA requirements.
Must be a team player who can communicate well, positively adapt, prioritize effectively, and quickly respond in a high-paced, close-knit, collective open working environment.
Must possess proven experience working in a complex technology-driven enterprise solutions/systems implementation environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 
Working Knowledge of CSS Grid System.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Involvement with Front End Developer/Systems Design professional communities; active in forums or newsgroups.
Experience supporting EUCOM
