Common Control System Human Factors Engineering Lead
Leidos is looking for an experienced Human Factors Engineer to join our team in order support an upcoming opportunity.
The successful candidate will be expected to apply knowledge of human factors engineering concepts to solve problems and support projects
The candidate will work with design engineers to establish system design, operating, and training requirements to ensure optimized human-machine interfaces.
The successful candidate should be able to do task analysis, requirements definition, use case analysis, persona development, user interface design, wireframing, prototyping, and planning/conducting rapid iterative usability studies
This job will involve conducting quantitative and qualitative user research as well as analyzing and presenting findings/recommendations across a government, multi contractor team in order to develop a comprehensive set of requirements for the system.
Manage the tasks associated with the contracted CCS human factors systems engineering support.
Work with the government customer to ensure that human factors related requirements are collected and included in the overall design.
Provide guidance to the customer when combining requirements from multiple sources. Evaluate and analyze new display options and provide recommended technologies for inclusion in the system design.
- Bachelors Degree in Human Factors Engineering or Systems Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with the UAVs and/or UUVs
- Experience working with customers to collect and prioritize requirements
- Bachlor’s degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 8+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
- Must be able to be approved for a Secret clearance
- Master’s Degree in Human Factors, Systems Engineering or related field
- Experience with managing requirements within DOORS
- Experience with model based systems engineering
