Leidos is looking to improve and advance our organization. Our program focuses on the delivery of end-user centric IT technology solution to our Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) customer. Leidos is responsible to provide ongoing innovative and seamless experience while using CMS systems, applications and solutions. Leidos structure is to deliver immediate improvements to end-users with a complete hardware refresh, a single contractor accountable for delivering customer service across all tiers of service and an agile program structure to accelerate the pace of operational enhancements. We foster a positive end-user experience while ensuring protection of the data.

The ideal candidate will provide support to end-users for PC, applications software and hardware Configuration, Change and Problem Management operations. Overseeing, following industry recognized best practices for configuration, change and problem management processes to ensure highest quality deliverables and performance.  Provides guidance and oversight to and is responsible for the ITSM Configuration, Change and Problem Management Documentation/Training.

Primary Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Configuration / Problem Manager, you will be responsible, to include, but not limited to:

  • Follow inventory tracking/accounting standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Provide visibility into inventory status, receipts, orders and shipment
  • Monitor inventory turnover, making recommendations for process improvements
  • Provide status of warehouse inventory, performing demand analysis to identify standard items/consumables to ensure items remain above minimum and are not overstocked
  • Evolve processes and procedures ensuring ITAM & CMDB/stakeholder expectation management, assignments and responsibilities
  • Work with service providers to collect failure data and maintenance trends.
  • Works on day-to-day objectives with moderate impact and independently on moderately complex assignments.
  • Develops solutions to problems of limited complexity.
  • Applies CM discipline to asset management systems from initial baseline to system end-of-life.
  • Communicates with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other resources, etc.).

  • Provide accountability into inventory status, receipts, orders and shipment
  • Monitor inventory turnover, state and sub state changes
  • Ensure the integrity of the configuration management data base (CMDB) is maintained

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience or 2-4 years of prior relevant experience. At least 3 years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for a degree (i.e. minimum of 4 years of relevant experience).
  • Possesses knowledge of, or skill in:  ServiceNow and MS-Excel to support the business monthly performance report.
  • Ability to explain advanced technical concepts verbally and in written format
  • Ability to think critically with the vision to work both tactically and strategically
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, while working with minimal supervision.
  • Identify, organize, and control software and hardware configuration item changes.
  • Oversees and facilitate configuration CMDB plans, audits and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external functional teams to identify audit failures root cause, create action-plans for resolution and lessons learned.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the CMDB Asset Life Cycle
