***This position is located in Afghanistan for the CLS-Afghan Program Support***
Leidos is currently seeking a motivated Tool Room Attendant to work on the CLS-A program in Afghanistan. The ideal candidate will work and travel in between customer sites as needed; customer sites include Kandahar, Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Issue tools to production department by requisition or work order router and are recorded manually or with a computer
Delivers the tools to the production area
Requisition new tools as needed
Receives new tools into the company, unpacks the new tools and stores them in the tool room
Cleans and maintains the tools stored in the tool crib and maintains an organized tool room
Performs an inventory of the tools in the storage room and prepares inventory reports for the supervisor
Investigates and searches for missing tools from the tool crib Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers
Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed
Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors
May coat tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun
May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool
As required, will mentor and oversee Afghan Air Force / Ministry of Defense (AAF/MoD) tool room trainees to provide On-the-Job-Training (OJT)
Maintain a good working relationship with customer personnel and be aware of and respect cultural differences at the host location
High School diploma with at least 1 year of related experience
Must be a US Citizen with a NACI clearance
As the position location is in Afghanistan, the following requirements need to be met:
Possess a valid state driver’s license
Active passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date.
Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date
Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.
A positively adjudicated Federal Government Investigation in order to qualify for a Common Access Card (CAC).
Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.
