Seeking a Systems Integration & Test Intern with a Computer Science or Engineering Degree preferred.
Work is in support of a dynamic team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s EnRoute Automation Modernization (ERAM) technology which is the heart of the Next Generation (NextGen) Air Transportation System and the pulse of the National Airspace System to help advance our transition from a ground based system of air traffic control (ATC) to a satellite based system of air traffic management.
ERAM is vital to the future of air navigation providing the foundational platform required for the FAA to enable NextGen solutions via modernization programs such as System Wide Information Management, Data Communications, and Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast.
ERAM will provide benefits for users and the flying public by increasing air traffic flow.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include working both as a member of a team and independently to optimize the experience for the flying public, ATC, and the airline industry by improving the collaboration and decision making capabilities of flight controllers.
Linux OS and Microsoft OS concepts desirable.
Be able to work in a group or independently to ensure team goals are met.
Conduct Problem Report Verification (PRV) integration testing to ensure all FAA customer requirements are met.
Problem determination and excellent customer interface are required.
Position will require interface with the software development and system engineering departments along with FAA customers.
Responsibilities will include understanding requirements and developing/executing PRV test approaches and procedures.
Basic Qualifications
High School education or equivalent and 1+ years of related experience.
Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program in a relevant disciple.
US Citizenship Requirements
Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
