Job Description:

The Leidos/NISC III program has an opening for a Training Administrator in Washington, DC.

This position will support the Real Estate, Information Technology, Engineering, and Support Services (RITES) team on the National Airspace System (NAS) Integration Support Contract (NISC) with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in creating and implementing training programs

  • Book and set up classrooms and training venues (virtual and in-person)

  • Manage training schedules, records, supplies, and services

  • Coordinate with RITES development team and update Wiki calendar for training that requires access to RITES systems/tools

  • Submit reports on training activities and results

  • Maintain training records (e.g. trainee lists, schedules, attendance sheets)

  • Record Continuing Learning Points (CLPs) in Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • Utilize and learn technology systems to create and manipulate various internal reports

  • Maintain RITES Training Team SharePoint site, which includes needs assessments, training plans and materials, summary reports, working files and reference/support documentation

  • Perform office clerical duties such as organizing digital and paper files as well as copying and scanning documents

  • Write announcements and other promotional materials to market available training programs and courses

  • Straighten up and restock conference and training rooms, refilling supplies and performing light custodial tasks as needed to keep these areas clean and well organized

  • Prepare and disseminate material (e.g. instructional notes, feedback forms)

  • Resolve issues as they arise onsite

  • Act as a point-of-contact for vendors and participants

  • Recommend improvements or new programs

The ideal candidate for this position will be highly effective at accomplishing the above tasks while also implementing creative solutions to unexpected situations that may arise. This candidate must be highly proficient at managing multiple tasks at once and communicating progress to achieve expected deadlines. Additionally, this candidate will have a keen sense for process improvements and act as a self-starter to implement these changes. Maintaining active communication with team members to efficiently accomplish tasks and receiving real-time feedback to implement effectively are vital to this role; therefore, strong verbal and written communication skills are critical. A successful Training Administrator will actively build professional relationships with internal and external customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience such as a HS and 5+

  • 1+ years of experience in roles such as Training Administrator, HR Assistant, or similar.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)

  • Experience working within KSN (SharePoint) sites

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Great organization skills to prioritize, follow up, deliver and communicate status of assigned actions

  • Strong analytical skills to understand procedural problems, identify root causes, and provide solutions

  • Independent worker; able to deliver products with minimal supervision

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
