Leidos Defense Group has an opening for a Director of Technology and Integration reporting into the Defense Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
The Director of Technology and Integration will be responsible for four primary tasks focused on technology exchange (multi-directional). First, working across Leidos and specifically with Dynetics and the Leidos Innovation Center (LInC) to identify mid to low TRL capabilities to pull through and integrate into Defense Group (DG) opportunities and programs of record (PORs). This individual will be working to identify what technologies align with key programs and pursuits and any opportunities that the DG has to accelerate the TRL advancement or overall customer adoption. Expected outputs would include a roadmap of key research projects and a mapping of them to key customers, programs, and pursuits with an indication of technology maturity (TRL) and key gaps required to mature the technology. The second task will be to survey across the defense group and its key customers on technology needs and challenges its customers have and to coordinate back with Dynetics/LInC on aligned areas for investment in R&D activities. The output of this effort would be a ‘hunting map’ to the R&D organizations for key technologies and capabilities desired by our customers and programs. The third task will be to aid in key capability assessments and integrations for the DG customers and programs. This will be to help evaluate proposed sensors and innovative solutions for integration into key platforms and programs as well as helping to look across the R&D community for non-traditional sources of differentiated technologies for integration into our solutions. The fourth task will be looking across the DG for any technologies or capabilities that can be exchanged and integrated into other groups (including LInC/Dynetics) for enhanced differentiation such as cyber capabilities, software C2, etc. The goal of this position is to increase the amount of differentiation in our solutions as well as enabling Leidos to have a higher percentage of capabilities self-performed for its solutions.
