Leidos currently has an opening for a Knowledge Management Specialist to work at Offutt AFB, NE (Omaha). 

JOB SUMMARY

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Nuclear Enterprise Center stand up the Global Integrated Operations Coordination Center (GIOCC).

The GIOCC is an exciting and new military capability envisioned by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and being hosted at U.S. Strategic Command. 

The GIOCC staff are focused on facilitating better integration among all of the combatant commands across all warfighting domains and regions throughout the world. 

This enhanced integration of planning, operations, global fires, messaging and deterrence will help to achieve global affects against U.S. adversaries from regional, and domain actions taken by individual unified and combatant commands. 

The GIOCC will ensure its activities are coordinated with other agencies to develop whole of government approaches to achieve desired outcomes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a knowledge management facilitator to promote information sharing throughout all GIO processes and systems across the Joint Force.  

The specialist will strengthen and facilitate the seamless exchange of information across all systems. 

The specialist will serve as an advocate for knowledge management best practices, tools, and data standards to ensure a globally shared understanding of the operational environment across the joint force of the U.S. military. 

The specialist will manage the collaboration tools (i.e. C2IE) and knowledge management to enable better global integrated operations or the Joint Force. 

The specialist will gain awareness of the where the combatant commands store information (i.e. SIPR vs. JWICS), and which combatant commands lead different mission areas relevant to GIO.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 4 years of experience.  Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

Maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with access eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Special Access Required (SAR) classified material

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of fires & targeting databases, information operations, and command and control systems used to coordinate operations. 

5-10 years’ experience in implementing knowledge management processes, tools, methodology.
