The Security, Detection & Automation Operation is seeking a Lead Program Finance Analyst to support a dynamic, high growth manufacturing organization. This position reports directly to the Program Finance Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Lead Program Finance Analyst will be functionally responsible for the following broad areas: Responsible for service program management for a dynamic portfolio of largely commercial, firm fixed price projects in a growing manufacturing environment. Candidate should have a deep understanding of operational program finance management, revenue analysis, cost accruals, fixed assets, inter-company transactions, and general finance administration support with a passion for growing the business. Lead Program Finance analyst will be responsible for periodic month end close activities, subcontractor cost tracking, complex billings schedules for key service programs, plus reporting and problem resolution. Given the division manufactures product and provides maintenance services this position will have a heavy emphasis on program revenue and cost tracking of the service contract portfolio. Perform data analysis and preparation of accurate and timely financial transactions to capture activities performed in the period.
Specific Responsibilities
- Track and manage service contracts revenue recognition, cost accruals, and profit flux analysis
- Subcontractor cost tracking on service programs
- Track and calculate division’s direct and indirect cost accruals
- Manage and update billing support schedules for key high profile service programs
- Product warranty management and analysis
- Division suspense tracking and timely cost clearings
- Fixed asset management
- Division sales order approvals
- Prepaid amortization management & tracking
- Request journal entries and cost reclassification as needed
- Generate month end program ITD and PSR performance reports
- Independently review contract documents for funding requirements, service deliverables, and key billing terms
- Proficient in excel with keen ability to streamline program tracking files
- Intercompany work order administration support
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Leidos financial systems and applications; such as: Cost Point, Hyperion, OBI, Cognos, Fusion, and Costpoint. Proficient in Microsoft applications; such as: Project, Excel, Power Point and Word. Revenue recognition, cost accruals, AR billing, and manufacturing experience preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires a BA degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
