The Intelligence Group at Leidos is seeking a Software Development Manager to support an ongoing project intended to be deployed through the DevOpsSec process in Reston, VA. The work is performed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment within a government facility. Candidate must bring a creative, yet sound, approach to identifying and solving challenges in the management of a software development team. The successful candidate collaborates with a government staff and contractor team to build automation tools using a variety of software technologies to serve a diverse group of stakeholders.
Candidate will lead software development team through development of product to full deployment in production environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing the project’s scope and timeline, coordinating development efforts, coaching team members to work within the required development framework, and facilitate communication and effective collaboration. Responsibilities also include being the point of contact for external communications and working directly with the customer. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all project documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Degree in Computer Science or comparable combination of degree and 10+ years of experience.
Experience in management of software development efforts
Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
Outstanding organizational skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience leading teams of 10 or more individuals
Must be a US Citizen and possess an active Government TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
Experience with DevOps/DevOpsSec
Knowledge of system documentation standards (e.g. UML/SYSML)
Experience developing or managing web application projects
Experience with Amazon Web Services
