Command & Control
Leidos provides support to the U.S. Department of Energy Legacy Management Program. The Civil Group has an opening for an environmental data management analyst with a strong background in information technology related to collection, analysis, storage, and analysis of environmental data. The incumbent must have the ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds. The position requires interaction and coordination with Defense-Related Uranium Mines (DRUM) program personnel and Environmental Spatial Data Management (ESDM) personnel.
The incumbent is responsible for the management, including maintenance of current systems and evaluation, design, and upgrade to the system for management of DRUM data. As the primary resource responsible for managing DRUM data and the data management, the incumbent will:
Update the data package creation tool (Visual Basic for Applications [VBA] or other background)
Manage reporting tools and Structured Query Language (SQL) that drives the reports
Trouble shoot data entry problems, identifying issues and notifying field teams
Perform quality assurance (QA) of both geospatial and other data received from field teams
Manage periodic updates to DRUM inventory and geo databases
Manage QA queries including updates and changes to data
Update tracking sheets (macro workbook maintenance)
Evaluate and ensure the quality of laboratory data packages (editing of PDF files including QA of the package)
Respond to ad hoc data requests.
Serve as SharePoint Page Administrator
Support Environmental Data Management Systems QA/QC activities
Assist in automation of ESDM data management work
BS in science, technology, engineering, math, or information technology
3 to 5 years in environmental and geospatial data management
Knowledge and proficiency at the indicated levels for the following:
Structured Query Language (SQL) (intermediate to advanced)
Microsoft SQL Server – specific SQL
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (intermediate)
MS Office Power Query (intermediate)
Microsoft Office (intermediate)
Adobe Acrobat (Edit PDFs)
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) (Intermediate)
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
Familiarity with or knowledge of the following is preferred
Microsoft Visio (beginning to intermediate)
Python scripting (beginner to intermediate)
