Do you enjoy prototyping and experimenting with software products and applications?  Do you enjoy picking up a new piece of technology and learning it back to front?  Do you have cyber security experience or an interest in shifting your career to cyber security engineering? Leidos is seeking a talented engineer to become a key member of a mission-critical cyber security effort.  In order to secure sensitive information, Leidos is developing a comprehensive identity, credential, and access management (ICAM) system.  As an engineer on this team, you will be working closely with ICAM subject matter experts to research, define, implement, deploy, and maintain key software components within this platform. You will have a hand in every phase of the product lifecycle, from initial prototyping all the way to production maintenance and integration.
 

WHAT WE WILL NEED FROM YOU:
As a member of the ICAM solutions team, you will:

  • Learn the key services that an ICAM system must provide (authentication, authorization, identity, governance, auditing, and analytics) and put them into practice
  • Design, develop, and maintain an ICAM software stack using a mix of commercial and open-source software
  • Use automation tools to rapidly build, test, and deploy system components
  • Integrate analytics engines to visualize and enhance access control decision making
  • Simulate potential failure scenarios, then implement changes to make the system more resilient
  • Generate clear and maintainable documentation
  • Generate visual media that can explain the benefits of a software tool or system to both technical and non-technical audiences


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with learning, installing, and configuring commercial and open source software
  • Experience integrating new components into a larger software stack/system
  • Experience working with Linux environments
  • Basic understanding of the Agile development process
  • Demonstrated ability to take a complex technical task from initial scoping to completion
  • Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in multiple of the following areas, and a desire to learn the others:
    • Linux OS scripting (Bash)
    • Software development in a high-level programming language (Java, C#, Python)
    • Database setup and integration, both relational and NoSQL (Oracle DB, MySQL, Mongo DB, AWS Dynamo DB)
    • Cloud infrastructure platforms (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
    • DevOps automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
    • Source control and Agile development tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence)
    • Analytics and search engines (Elasticsearch, Splunk, Apache Solr)


HOW TO STAND OUT:

  • Experience with ICAM or work in an adjacent cybersecurity role
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following ICAM concepts/standards:
    • LDAP or MS Active Directory
    • PKI and TLS/SSL
    • OAuth 2.0
    • OpenID Connect (OIDC)
    • SAML
    • SCIM
  • Hands-on experience with the Oracle IAM suite (OAM, OUD, OVD, OIM) or a similar product suite (e.g., Sailpoint, ForgeRock, WSO2, Okta, etc.)
  • Experience in identity management and governance, to include single sign-on, identity federation, or enterprise directory architecture and design
  • TS/SCI level clearance
