Job Description:

Leidos has an opportunity for an AETC/A2 Strategic and Operational Specialist at Randolph AFB, TX. The position is in AETC ‘s Intelligence Directorate (AETC/A2). Candidates must already possess a TS/SCI security clearance in order to be considered.

Duties of the selected candidate will include, but not limited to:

  • Using strategic thinking and analytic thought, analyze planning efforts to develop appropriate recommendations to the directorate.

  • Provide intelligence planning support to various Operational Planning Teams, Strategic Action Plan events, Corporate Structure Group, Concept of Operation development and strategies for approval and directorate engagements with other MAJCOMs and HAF A2/6 by suspense date established by the COR.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of intelligence capabilities, responsibilities, and procedures and how the apply to the Air Force, AETC and the intelligence directorate.

  • Support the intelligence directorate in performing and managing strategic and operational analysis and production with an emphasis on intelligence support related to AETC planning efforts.

  • Analyzes key information and evaluates the effectiveness of alternative solutions, courses of action, and strategies needed to address complex, controversial, and multi-faceted issues.

  • Monitors and reviews strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, instructions, and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) within the Air Force and DoD, and makes recommendations to ensure compliance and / or consideration.

  • Generate weekly updates to the director in the form of briefings and established written reports.  Reports are required to assess the progress of innovation and learning transformation initiatives among the command’s organizations.

  • Perform independent, continuing, detailed analysis of learning proposals, and assess the implications of proposals against AETC and intelligence directorate constraints.

  • Maintain and update all planning initiatives and organizational outreach efforts.

  • Analyze AETC strategic plans, vision and mission to support efforts in developing an ISR training roadmap. 

  • Analyze and evaluate complex intelligence systems, policies, and processes as they relate to AFSC awarding technical training and skills courses.

  • Collect, analyze, track and report changes, trends, and implications regarding intelligence competencies and learning methods as part of a comprehensive force development plan.

  • Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and schedules own work activities to complete assignments in timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

TS/SCI security clearance on day 1.

Master’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.

AETC experience.

Must have experience in Strategic Planning, Program Management, and MAJCOM Plans.

Critical Thinking is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

20 years of relevant experience.
