Job Description:

Leidos is actively hiring for a Multi-Media Editing Specialist to join our team Virginia Beach, VA.

The successful candidate will be a member of a development team, but expected to work independently and in accordance with published schedules. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Support group that encompasses a staff of approximately 12 technical and management personnel.
  • Responsible for the appearance, quality control and production of documents supporting qualification program, curriculum in various Navy Education Development standards (i.e., NAVEDTRA 130/131, AIM II, CPM, LOM), and Multi-media products in support of PMA-281 developed systems. 
  • Responsibilities include assignments where judgment is exercised making recommendations and resolving problems.
  • Working with the technical staff, develop and edit multi-media products including story boarding, scripting, voiceover and audio production.
  • Must be able to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Liaison with technical staff to solicit input, coordinate reviews, and maintain involvement in various documents as they are developed.
  • Responsible for applying adult learning theory to the creation of e-Learning and blended learning solutions.
  • Assist in the research, selection, and modification of existing training content to meet learning needs.
  • Converting instructor led content to e-Learning solutions, when applicable.
  • Supports training team administrative functions, as assigned.
  • Assists with the design and programming of interactive multimedia applications for web-based delivery.
  • Candidate must be a motivated self-starter that is able to multi-task and work within deadlines, and must be able to smoothly transition between various projects to solve technical issues.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with Instructional Designers, Graphic Artists and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Provide accurate task completion estimates, and develop applications using storyboards.
  • Responsible for applying adult learning theory to the creation of e-Learning and blended learning solutions.
  • Assist in the research, selection, and modification of existing training content to meet learning needs.
  • Converting instructor led content to e-Learning solutions, when applicable. Supports training team administrative functions, as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and at least 4 years of related experience
  • Must have experience editing formal documentation and possess strong technical writing abilities. Proficiency with Multi-media design products (Adobe Captivate, HTML 5), emergent MM technologies, MS Office Professional office productivity software, i.e., MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint (will be expected to independently use Word and PowerPoint and Excel on first day) necessary
  • Experience in time management, task prioritization and work scheduling.  Experience with MS Access, MS Project, Adobe Captivate, and Adobe Acrobat desired
  • Active Top Secret clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • Must be able to maintain and manage workload when coordinating delivery of multiple, concurrent projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work well with others in deadline driven environment. Occasional overtime is required to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong office, interpersonal communications skills, organizational skills are required.
