The Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for a Generator & ECU Mechanic located at Ft. Bragg, NC.
Mechanic technician will support the ARIES contract which will provide IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems. This position supports the JMICS system at JMICS Service Center, Fort Bragg, NC.
The Mechanic will perform preventive and remedial maintenance, troubleshooting, User Support, On-Site Equipment Repair, Replace Installation/Removal, System Operations, and Scheduled Maintenance of JMICS diesel Generators and Environmental Control Units (ECU).
Work with system developer and system end user to analyze, review, and identify problems.
Recommend system modifications to improve system/sub-system product quality.
Reduce architecture/design failures, improve system uptime, and recommend enhancements and modifications to improve current and future system performance.
Reviews government system user manuals and other technical engineering schematics, to assist customer with maintenance issues and clarify complex technical issues.
Capable of working at remote sites by themselves with demanding customers in austere deployed or garrison locations.
A high school diploma and one to three years of relevant technical experience in the maintenance and repair of Generators and Environmental Control Units (ECU).
