We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of AFRICOM’s mission
Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Knowledge Management Software Developer. 
This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. 
This position is required to travel OCONUS and may require up to 100% business travel. You must also hold an active DOD Secret clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:
AFRICOM's Knowledge Management (KM) and Collaboration division seeks to develop solutions using agile methodology embodying modern UI/UX principles.
Leads and manages the daily activities of KM Engineers to develop business process improvement software packages.
Will provide work direction, guidance, supervision, management, and training to staff.
Support and create client side and server-side applications in a development environment, test and validate code for accuracy in pre-production, and ensure interoperability and completeness to achieve desired results within the production environment.
Work with end-users to gather requirements, propose solutions and execute ad-hoc requests.
Communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
Work in dynamic fast paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. 
Demonstrate experience in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
Present SharePoint 2019 & Online application development solutions and knowledge to enhance the command’s decision-making processes.
Use modern client-side technologies to develop using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) such as JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, Node.js, Bootstrap, React, TypeScript, Svelte, etc.
Have knowledge of common object models to include JSON, CSOM, and REST.
Prepare plans for migration of capabilities to ServiceNow.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development staff.
Provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required.

Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS and 4-8 years relevant experience or Master's and 2-6 years relevant experience, or additional experience in lieu of degree.
Must hold and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
Must be US Citizen.
Current Microsoft 365 or Azure role-based certification (Associate or Expert).
Current CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater).
Proficiency with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), React, SharePoint API, REST,CSOM and modern client-side development processes.
Experience with Sharepoint and ServiceNow.
Demonstrated understanding of software development using Agile methodology.
Experience leading a team of engineers and/or system administrators.
TESA eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL v3 – Foundation.
Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, TypeScript, Bootstrap, Node.js, Knockout, Handlebars.js and the Visual Studio Code IDE.
MCSD Certification.
Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards.
Experience with DoD IT security requirements.
Experience in a Microsoft DevOps environment, source control and working in an agile software development team.
Knowledge or experience with CITS III
