The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for a DevOps Engineer on our Leidos-led prime program in support of Computer Network Operations (CNO). Work in our state of the art Leidos facility in Annapolis Junction! Program Summary 
As a DevOps Engineer you will have the opportunity to participate on a high-visibility DoD/Intel program that provides software design, development, and component testing to an important customer in the cyber arena.  More specifically, it has been the development contract for a major systems acquisition program within the one of the DoD's premier Cyberwarfare organizations to modernize the infrastructure used for managing its mission. This group of elite Cyber professionals is now focused on developing the next generation of cutting-edge Computer Network Operations (CNO) mission management capabilities.
Position Summary
To be a successful as a DevOps Engineer,  you will need to utilize your extensive experience to influence development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results. You will be responsible for resolving highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation. While this role is primarily focused on systems integration, experience with programming and/or scripting is a firm requirement. 

DevOps Engineer Responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing Linux scripts
  • Monitoring and managing Virtual Machines (VMs) that are across multiple regions/zones, includes monitoring AWS resources
  • Utilizing SALT/PUPPET to automate the building of VMs
  • Supporting and maintaining the Docker/Rancher/Kubernetes environment
  • Adding/decommissioning servers on the network
  • Installing and updating Security patches and PKI certificates
  • Working with the Database team to manage application databases, update passwords, and perform Mongo upgrades
  • Installing and configuring Elasticsearch for use in monitoring applications
  • Working as a member of the DEVOPS team, monitoring tickets, performing troubleshooting, updating documentation
  • Interfacing with external organizations to update Standard Operating Procedures and improving our monitoring capabilities

Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field of study (will consider candidates without BS degree, see *below) 
A firm understanding of modern computer programming 
Level III
Ten (10) or more years scripting or software development experience using modern software environments. 
Level II
Six (6) or more years scripting or software development experience using modern software environments.
*In lieu of Bachelors Degree 
Level III – Two relevant technical certifications, that will be considered on a case by case basis
Ten (10) or more years scripting or software development experience using modern software environments.
Level II - Two relevant technical certifications, that will be considered on a case by case basis
Six (6) or more years scripting or software development experience using modern software environments.
