Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Centennial, CO to support the United States Antarctic Program (USAP).

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.

  • Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.

  • Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.

  • Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

  • Ensures software standards are met.

  • Maintains customer focused systems in the US Antarctic Program. 

  • Occasional after-hours support for release rollouts will be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related discipline with 5 years professional experience or a Master’s degree and 3 years professional experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to pass the NSF extended background investigation clearance.

The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience doing development in the following:

  • Cold Fusion (CFML)

  • HTML

  • JavaScript

  • .Net

  • C#

  • T-SQL, Advanced SQL

  • Microsoft Customer Relationship Manager (CRM 365)

  • FetchXML

  • GIT

  • CSS

Experience using the following is preferred but not required:

  • SQL Server Management Studio

  • SQL Server Integration Services

  • Microsoft Power BI

  • Adobe Dreamweaver

  • Visual Studio
