Primary Responsibilities
Develop COTS based ruggedized IT products DOD application
Develop electrical product architectures and designs that leverage COTS electronics
Conduct analysis and testing of electrical systems
Develop tests plans, conduct tests, and document results
Manage small to medium sized engineering projects
Work closely with the Leidos Production team and external vendors
Basic Qualifications
Must be a US citizen and ability to obtain Security Clearance
Proficiency with Electrical Schematic Capture and Layout CAD design tools
Familiarity with electronics including relays, transistors, resistors, capacitors and microcontrollers
Experience specifying and integrating COTS electronics into industrial or military environments
Ability to develop test plans and procedures of electrical systems
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-12 years of applicable experience or Associates Degree with 10+ years applicable experience. Additional relevant/specialized training and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree; including experience as credentialed subject matter expert or recognized specialist in relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
Hardware design experience for Navy Shipboard applications
Experience with Microcontroller programming
