Job Description:
Leidos has an opening in its Defense Group for a System Security Technician. The System Security Technician is responsible for the installation and test of physical security electronic, mechanical and CCTV equipment. The equipment includes, door contacts, motion detectors, duress switches, glass break sensors, card readers, command keypads, turnstiles, request for exit devices, equipment enclosures, junction boxes, power supplies, media converters, cameras, camera lenses, camera mounts, conduit installation, copper and fiber optic wiring installation and termination for all. Work may be performed in confined spaces, hazardous areas, adverse weather conditions, commercial leased facilities and/or Government owned facilities both inside and outside. Work may be performed at heights on masts, towers, roofs and lift equipment. Long term standing or sitting may be experienced. Travel is required in and out of the Continental U.S. Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. Passport is required. Shall obtain and maintain appropriate industry safety certifications as required.
Primary Responsibilities
Installs and tests components and wirings on Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Access Control Systems, and Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV).
Ensures work is in accordance with applicable codes and standard practices.
Install IDS on Perimeter Fencing
Install security components at discretion/direction of level one technician
Basic Qualifications
Requires a HS Diploma plus a minimum of 6 years relevant experience (electrician, fire alarm, controls, etc.) or technical vocational experience in installation of security, video surveillance, card access and alarm systems of similar scope, type and complexity.
Requires an active DOD TS/SCI Polygraph level clearance to start
Requires a certification as a LENEL Certified Associate (LCA).
Preferred Qualifications
BICSI certification or equivalent is recommended.
