Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Security Infrastructure Engineer at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
This position provides security engineering and management support for the Joint Service Provider. This position deploys, manages, and configures Cyber Security equipment associated with network and endpoint monitoring to include Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Packet Capture, Net Flow, and Session systems, servers, appliances, and to manage the project execution for the evaluation of new technologies for life cycle replacement and potential future use. This position is also responsible for deploying and managing signature sets and policies across a wide variety of cybersecurity system. The position will work in close coordination with Security Operations Center analyst and the Firewall team in addressing attack vectors and troubleshooting potential impacts to legitimate traffic.
• Coordinate with local change and control boards and provide installation, configuration, engineering, administration, and accreditation documents/diagrams for the infrastructure life cycle replacements upgrades, enhancements, and new technology deployments
• Coordinate with Operations and Engineering and provide technical support for all in-line devices to include Taps, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS), Wireless Intrusion Prevention System (WIPS), and other in-line devices impacting the security monitoring of JSP networks
• Update infrastructure and rack elevation diagrams
• Maintain Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance on all security devices
• Develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), when needed
• Perform systems engineering functions for new system development efforts or critical system enhancements and patches
• Troubleshoot network and system issues and/or outages
• Assist Security Infrastructure team in conducting daily maintenance and support activities.
• Provide assistance to junior administrators, as needed.
•Must hold active SECRET clearance
•Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of professional experience; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.3+ years of cybersecurity related experience
•2+ years of technical experience deploying and maintaining cybersecurity tools, especially network defense capabilities
•Must have certification that satisfies DoD-8570 IAT Level II upon start
•Must have or obtain certification that satisfies DoD-8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support within six months of start
•Must have or obtain SIEM (ArcSight, Splunk, or Elastic) certification OR Linux operating system certification within six months of start
•Demonstrated experience with deploying, configuring, maintaining, patching, troubleshooting, and upgrading cybersecurity infrastructure and capabilities.
•Demonstrated knowledge of network traffic and communications, including known ports and services.
•Hands-on experience with the Windows and Linux operating systems and their respective command line interfaces and scripting shells.)
•Demonstrated experience with researching and fielding new and innovative technology
•Active Top Secret clearance and Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Eligible (DIA Adjudicated or capable of reciprocal acceptance by DIA)
•Experience with automation and orchestration frameworks (ex. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
•Deep technical understanding of common cybersecurity technologies as well as emerging capabilities.
•Hands-on experience as a SOC analyst.
•Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of cybersecurity threats (internal and external), attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).
•Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.
•Familiarity or experience in Intelligence Driven Defense, Cyber Kill Chain methodology, and/or MITRE ATT&CK framework.
