The Leidos Defense Group has a career opportunity for a Senior ServiceNow Developer, based at San Antonio, Texas.


This position is in support of the Air Force Personnel Operation Activity contract at Randolph AFB which is transferring all personnel systems from a large physical data center into a cloud (AWS) environment.  ServiceNow is the software of choice to integrate IT Service Management and other aspects of this dynamic operational and devops environment.

The ServiceNow developer will manage a large ServiceNow infrastructure development and assist system engineers, system administrators and cyber security professionals to fully integrate ServiceNow into operations across the personnel community in the Air Force reaching 650,000 customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
SeviceNow Developer will have full knowledge and experience on the ServiceNow platform, services, and associated configurations.
Provides hands-on development and implementation support of ServiceNow including design, architecture, configuration, development best practices, implementation strategies for ServiceNow, and along with expert programming skills.
Collaborates with a diverse program team and must be able to communicate effectively in obtaining and synthesizing requirements, while working with the team to develop technical solutions that meets mission objectives. 
Develops and implements ServiceNow features as part of an interactive Agile development process, and support other ServiceNow initiatives.
Experience with the configuration and customization of the ServiceNow system.
Be able to create workflows and develop service requests in ServiceNow.
Develop scripts to automate tasks and processes within ServiceNow.
Familiar with ServiceNow Orchestration. 
Create and develop custom reports in ServiceNow.
Load and extract data to and from ServiceNow.
Ability to document unit testing results, perform analysis of test results, and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
Coding and maintaining cloud based systems and Web sites.
Coding and maintaining Web-based systems and applications for usability and Web accessibility.
Synthesize user requirements into system design and into coded implementation that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Automated regression testing using scripts.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors in Technical Specialty and 8-12 years experience or 6-10 years with Masters Degree or additional experience in lieu of degree.
Hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of ServiceNow.
Strong track record of implementing ServiceNow in a variety of distributed computing environments.
Clearance: Active Secret required at time of hire.
Must have Security + CE (DoD 8570 series IAT Level II Certification) before hiring.

Preferred Qualifications:
Integration of AWS cloud services with technologies from ServiceNow, Microsoft, Red Hat, and Linux.
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certification or higher.
AWS Associate Level Certification.
