Job Description:
This role will assesses and mitigates system security threats/risks within an enterprise network, validates enterprise system security requirements definition and analysis, establishes enterprise system security designs, and implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures. Verifies security requirements; secure systems operations and maintenance. Specific experience may include data-at-rest encryption, IDS/IPS, and SIEMS. Responsible for the overall security design of the project, program, or environment; often activities can range from initial creation to reviewing current system security technical controls and recommending enhancements. This role is primarily responsible for identifying capabilities/protocols needed to adhere to security controls (e.g., NIST requirements) for vendor configuration/custom development and initial integration. Capability discovery could take the form of an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to ensure the selected vendor can satisfy the need within the high level design.
Basic Qualifications
•Must have past experience with, and demonstrate the skills and capabilities to successfully execute the duties and responsibilities of this position
•Must have a minimum of 8 years experience in related field
•Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field
•Must possess active CISSP, CEH, or other relevant certification
•Must be able to pass background check for secret clearance
•Can-do attitude
•Self-motivated and quick-learner
•Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
•Ability to create internal and customer-oriented documentation
•Ability to complete tasks on time, unsupervised
•Ability to anticipate problems and develop effective solutions
•Willing to be hands-on and work at tasks outside of normal duties if needed to support management objectives
•Excellent project and time management skills
•Ability to travel 25%
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate data
•Experience with integrating solutions in a multi-vendor environment
•Knowledge of enterprise logging, with a focus on security event logging
•Experience with enterprise-scale operations and maintenance environments
•Experience with programming
•Experience with various security tools
•Ability to multitask and solve complex technical problems
•Experience working in a multi-server environment
•ITIL v3 - Foundation
•Experience with Microsoft SCCM
•Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
•Experience with SIEM, log analysis, vulnerability analysis, and some scripting experience.
•Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
