Leidos is searching for an Interface Support Engineer to support the Department of Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) Program, in an overnight shift. DHMSM is a highly visible $4.3B single award IDIQ vehicle that provides support to the Defense Health Agency. The DHMSM program is the DoD’s leading program designed to deploy a modern electronic health record (EHR) system across the United States and around the globe.
*** Candidate selected for the Interface Support Engineer / Overnight role will be required to work between the hours of 8:00PM and 8:00AM (EST). The specific eight (8) hour shift during these hours, may be flexible.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to monitor Rhapsody HL7 interfaces for an electronic health records system. Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintain continuous operation and ensure that HL7 interfaces remain functional.
Proactively identify data flow issues and work with internal teams to restore traffic flow.
Assist third party vendors with troubleshooting interface issues to full resolution.
Understand dataflow and data architecture, key data elements and how they work.
Assist with integration efforts as needed.
Work with architecture team to develop and update processes and procedures for new and existing interfaces.
Monitor Rhapsody dashboards to proactively address interface errors related to connectivity and payload as they occur.
Provide status updates on various ancillary systems, EMRs and Health Information Exchange (HIE) applications to Senior Analyst, Integration.
Monitor interface engine to ensure uninterrupted message transfer between electronic systems.
Make minor configurations to the tool as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Experience with Windows and Linux-based IT systems.
Familiar with EAI, web services and interface messaging standards.
Knowledge of integration and troubleshooting techniques.
Requires BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
US Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance. Contract requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale implementation of Electronic Health Record system.
Experience with Rhapsody integration engine.
Experience monitoring and maintaining system interfaces.
