Job Description:
A Clinical Psychologist is needed to support a Federal Client's occupational healthcare program. Personnel selected for this position will utilize their experience to provide diverse psychological support to the client's workforce.
Duties may include:
Providing counseling sessions to Federal employees and their eligible dependents
Conducting pre-deployment/post-deployment evaluations and consultations
Developing and delivering psychological educational briefings
Providing consultation consultation to Federal leadership employees, assisting in the development/evaluation/delivery of training geared towards advancing the psychological readiness of personnel deploying to high-threat and/or austere locations
Reviewing files and/or interviewing personnel for risk assessment
Due to Covid-19 all program/medical personnel may be called upon to support the client's pandemic response initiatives. This could include:
Meeting with personnel, creating and conducting workshops (virtual and in-person)
Working with stakeholders to ensure quarantine and/or contact racing protocols are followed
Providing counseling sessions to Federal employees regarding medical concerns, grief, work/life balance, anxiety, and/or other stressors
Assisting with other pandemic response efforts as needed
Work will take place in Northern Virginia at Federal worksites. Personnel assigned to this position may be required to travel to other buildings within the metropolitan region. Personally owned vehicle expenses are reimbursable through a contract approval process. Occasional business travel within the US may be required, corporate travel resources will be provided should the need for travel arise
Position Requirements
PhD in Psychology with a minimum of 10 years experience after degree
License to practice in Virginia
Active Top Secret with polygraph is required
Experience conducting assessments and clinical interviews to include documenting clinical findings
Ability to diagnose psychological disorders and provide evidence-based psychotherapy
Strong clinical abilities, and enthusiasm for a collaborative approach to treatment.
Excellent verbal and communication skills
