The Defense Group at Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Information Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for keeping the defense research and engineering network (DREN) at the C5ISR prototype and integration facility operational for all users. This role includes managing user accounts, resolving help tickets, and performing system upgrades and patches. The Systems Administrator will directly engage with government and contractor users and teams at the C5ISR Center headquarters level.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure optimum security compliance for the Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN).
Analyze and resolve information security technical problems
Develop policies to ensure compliance with all C5ISR headquarters requirements related to security and operability.
Develop test procedures, establish test environments, and execute security certification tests or demonstrations.
Perform security engineering analyses, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments. Develop security accreditation/certification documentation
Create and maintain network security policies and procedures.
Establish processes to ensure timely and implementation of upgrades, patches and migrations.
Basic Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related scientific / technical discipline with 8 to 12 years of experience.
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Knowledge of information security/authorization profiles or security administration.
Knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies.
Secret Clearance. Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
