Consulting Employee Electric Utility Transmission

Utilities consistently come to our Power Delivery Services for reliable power expertise, as reflected through our work with more than 50 investor-owned utilities and more than 160 municipals/cooperatives across the country as well as a growing number of local utility providers and private developers.
We are seeking a Consulting Employee who will work as a member of a dynamic team, solving challenging problems involved with High Voltage electric power transmission.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership on High Voltage series capacitors for Power Transmission and providing technical solutions for efficient and cost effective electric transmission for a major utility client.
• Provide analysis and in-depth research for the procurement of compensation equipment from various suppliers: ABB, GE Grid Solutions, and Siemens.
• Serve as an Engineer on electric transmission line design projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems
• Work closely with engineers and other designers to support Transmission project planning and engineering
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems or a Master's degree and 10+ years of experience
• Expertise and experience with 230kV and higher series capacitor procurement, design, installation, and/or implementation.
• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Work effectively in team environment; can also work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with clients and project teams
• Work in client office is a possibility and/or periodic travel may be required
