Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a PeopleSoft Developer for one of our Application Services contracts. Candidates should be highly skilled and able to provide complex engineering tasks. Candidates may work individually or as a key member of a senior leadership team. This position may oversee and monitor performance across several disciplines, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues. Provides expert guidance and direction to Government and Vendor senior level technicians and managers. Directs multiple contractor and subcontractors teams through to project completion.

Local travel required between DIA Washington DC and Reston as required to support customer meetings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications and applying frameworks involved in a software release. Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product. Expertise in one or more programming language is required.

  • Works to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables.  Responsible for entire projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas.  Manages large projects or processes with moderate impact on the achievement of sub-family results.

  • Develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines.  Regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve functional objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or closely related degree and a minimum of 8 years of progressive IT experience OR High School Diploma and 12 years progressive IT experience.

  • A minimum of two years of Oracle/PeopleSoft Development experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Application Designer, PeopleCode, PeopleTools; Workflow, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, Application Messaging, Application Packaging, XML Publisher, and PeopleSoft Security.

  • Experience working with Oracle/PeopleSoft HCM version 9.1 or higher Federal products.

  • Experience working with PeopleTools version 8.50 or higher

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • The ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced, growing and changing secure environment.

  • The capacity to work well and excel in a team environment and the willingness to support flexible hours.

  • TS/SCI with CI Poly is required.

  • DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order.
