Leidos is seeking a talented System Administrator to provide technical support for IT equipment and environments within our Leidos Innovations Center (LInC). Click here to learn more about LInC. The LInC System Administrator will provide technical support and serve as a proactive strategic partner for the Group. This position will be based out of San Diego, CA with support across other locations including Ohio, New Mexico and Virginia.
The successful candidate will perform systems administration and management duties with all components of non-standard information systems on physical and virtual platforms to support contract computing needs. The system administrator will support Linux and Microsoft Windows non-standard equipment such as data processing clusters, network storage devices, authentication servers, and workstations. This position requires attention to detail, critical thinking, solid organizational skills, great customer service skills as well as excellent oral communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide system administration within a diverse Linux environment, supporting multiple distributions of non-standard equipment
Document existing process and procedures, to make suggestions about and assist in improving our current operations
Research new technologies, their best practices and present how to implement new technologies into our environments with a focus on secure implementations
Partner with fellow team members, our security staff as well as their user base in a constructive manner to present cost-effective, relevant, and responsive IT solutions in support of non-standard equipment
Deploy and configure new domains and manage Active Directory
Serve as a proactive strategic partner to LInC leadership teams
Assist Program Managers and Cyber Security personnel with documentation required to meet Risk Management Frame Work requirements
Remediate system vulnerabilities identified from automated scanners by using Microsoft Group Policy and patch deployment techniques to maintain a compliant security posture
Serve as the LInC liaison/representative with CIO Services for NIST 800-171 compliance, LISA compliance and CIO Services Business Information Systems Officer (BISO)
Backup non-standard hardware and software mechanisms for disaster recovery and continuity of operations
Provide solutions for data redundancy architecture and virtualization
Provide Tier II/III support to include non-standard hardware and software configuration deployment
Create and maintain Configuration Management documentation
Manage hardware replacement program for End of Life (EoL) or outdated/unsupported hardware
Basic Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of related system administration experience (additional experience, education or training will be considered)
Experience with network switch configuration, TCP/IP, and network cabling requirements
Experience with configuration and management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems within a Windows Activity Directory environment
Experience with managing multiple variants of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora, etc)
Experience with Windows 10 to include Windows 10 Secure Host baseline (Win10SHB)
Experience with Windows Server 2012 – 2019”
Proven expertise with management of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
Ability to provide virtualization solutions, VMWare platform including vCenter, VDIs, vSANs
Full range of network support patching servers, backups and system management
Candidates must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance, so US Citizenship is required
Additional Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of PowerShell and batch scripting is a plus
Understanding of US Government policies and directives (e.g., NIST 800-53, NISPOM, JSIG/JFAN, and/or DCID Memorandums)
Experience with relevant JSIG/JAFAN or ICD RMF accreditation process
Familiarity with SCC scanner and DISA Stigs
Experience working with Nessus
Experience with HPCs, CONDOR and other distributed computing experience
DoD 8570 / 8140 requirements and include IAT level I in both Cyber (Security +) and Computing Environment
