The NISC III Group at Leidos currently has multiple opening(s) for Air Traffic Control Specialists to work at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK. (May start remotely but must be able to report to the OKC office after COVID). This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the NISC III mission. In this mission we provide daily support of the NISC III contract, specifically, to various Air Traffic Control Towers, Terminal Radar Approach Controls (TRACON), Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC) and FAA Air Traffic Organization headquarters and Regional offices.
Scenario development support, to include developing new scenarios and modifying existing scenarios, as well as providing analytical feedback and recommendations for technical training products, courseware, materials and programs for FAA/AJI customers, employees, or field support personnel.
Education and Experience:
BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
10+ years of FAA Air Traffic Control (ATC) experience; in the absence of a degree, additional related work experience in Air Traffic Control can be substituted.
Substantial knowledge of aviation operations and/or airspace management derived from experience as a certified Air Traffic Controller (for the FAA) or Pilot.
Experience in radar terminal facility (RTF) is desired. Experience in scenario development is desired.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Experience as an ATC OJT Instructor or Training Specialist.
