The Leidos Mission Solutions Group currently has an opening for a web application software developer to work full time in Herndon, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience and expertise in support of multiple projects spanning various customers. The successful developer candidate will translate user requirements from a formal requirements document into an application and/or database design, write interfaces to companion applications or databases, and provide support to applications in an O&M status; write necessary code with straightforward logic, ensure interoperability with other applications, develop using comprehensive test plans to ensure that adequate unit, system, and integration testing is performed and oversee unit/functional testing and transitioning the complex application and/or database to production. A strong candidate will have a commanding knowledge of software development principles, competent experience developing in multiple technologies to include JAVA, JAVAScript, Node, and Angular, have experience developing for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and be energized by the capability to learn and implement new skills in an Agile environment.

Basic Qualifications
•       Requires BS degree and at least 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience.

•       Must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph
•       Demonstrated experience designing, programming, and delivering custom web applications in an object oriented language such as Java and JavaScript frameworks
•       Demonstrated experience deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructures
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience to translate mission requirements to technical specs for solution scope, integrations, and enhancement impacts to scale development work and activities. 
•       Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues; 
•       Analyze and study complex system requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing within an Agile environment.
•       Demonstrated experience identifying, recommending, and implementing continuous improvement approaches within teams, processes, or technology
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience with code delivery mechanisms, such as Maven or Ant. 
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Spring, Hibernate. 
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience designing and building web services
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience using continuous build systems such as Jenkins, Git.
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience with code repositories, such as Subversion or Git. 
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience with continuous delivery solutions, such as Jenkins, or Puppet. 
•       Demonstrated software engineering/development experience creating web-based products using Angular.JS.
•       Demonstrated on-the-job experience with developing HTML views with CSS, and AngularJS controllers.
•       Developing AngularJS services.
