Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Expert Program Manager with a TS/SCI polygraph to work on an intelligence community IT contract, leading a complex Leidos network program and interfacing with multiple levels of Leidos and customer management in the Reston, VA, area. The PM is responsible for planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives. Duties may include ensuring that all programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints. Interfaces with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel. Profit and loss responsibility/management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establishing and implementing streamlined processes and procedures to enable rapid program responses for all requirements;
- Project timeline adherence and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinating tasks across teams to accomplish goals.
- Communicating effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Managing and mentoring program personnel to ensure continuing career development;
- Working with different customer groups to ensure all schedules are filled and management processes are streamlined and implemented throughout the workforce
- Working with end customers, subcontractor partners, and Leidos recruiters to ensure customer staffing requirements are filled
- Briefing the program’s status at multiple levels of management;
- Addressing program status and being responsive to customers and management;
- Focus is on short-to mid-term strategies (e.g., 3 years or less) to achieve functional results.
- Negotiates and influences others to understand and accept new concepts, practices and approaches.
- Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
- Manages a job function which includes multiple teams led by managers and/or supervisors.
- Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for function/families to ensure efficient use of resources
- Directs activities that have significant impact on the achievement of results for the project/function.
- Work requires a high degree of responsibility for resources, and frequently influences organizational or operational decisions made by leadership.
- Conducts extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems.
- Problems are highly complex and typically involve multiple families, projects, or customers.
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own project/family, and has responsibility for communicating with diverse parties external to the organization.
- Negotiates and influences others to understand and accept new concepts, practices and approaches.
Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years or prior relevant experience.
- 7+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
