What you’ll be doing:
Reporting directly to the Document Control Manager, the primary responsibility of this position is to support Leidos Security and Detection Systems in overseeing the change and release management operations for hardware, software and other deliverables. Managing the day to day activities of the process, including establishing priorities and work assignments and preparing configuration documentations to manage and maintain Configuration Management (CM) databases.
These duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described below.
Key responsibilities will also include:
Technical
Managing, controlling and maintaining source-code repositories to ensure complete traceability of changes and revision control
Responsible for developing, implementing and managing CM processes and standards
Maintaining Master Configuration Item Lists (MCIL)
Lead Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings to discuss Engineering Change Notices, approvals and release
Maintain status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configurations of products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle.
Assemble Technical Data Packages
Assist in management, maintenance and automating of CM tools
Maintain quality, integrity and security of CM database
Time Management
Ability to follow a timeline and work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities
Maintain Configuration Management processes throughout the product life cycle and deliver quality products to our customers
Communication
Train employees to use ERP and PDM systems
Ensure all personnel follow Configuration Management processes
Team Working
Review and recommend improvements to existing CM
Collaborate with documentation specialists to publish production release files
Cross Functional Working
Continually build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve the successful completion of projects
Work with Engineering and Program Management to created and submitted Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Requests for Deviation (RFD) for changes to Critical Items, in accordance with program requirements
Health & Safety
Always follow and promote Group and Company policies and procedures
Ensure all Company equipment and personal PPE properly used

About you:
Qualified to CICM levels, you will have a record of accomplishment as a Configuration Manager, together with proven experience of successfully developing and building capability and best practices covering change and release management operations for hardware, software and other deliverables, coupled with:
A BSc or equivalent in a related discipline with proven experience in Configuration Management databases.
An in-depth understanding of configuration management processes, standards and procedures
Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM) qualified
Experience using SolidWorks, PDM, SharePoint, ERP systems
Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to multitask
