Job Description:

The NISC III Training Group is looking for a technical editor to contribute to training design and mission support efforts. 

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will proofread and edit group products before submission to the customer, offer editing and writing support to the customer, and write up occasional internal policy statements from supplied guidelines. Also responsible for maintaining editing team SharePoint site and distribute work assignments to editing team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Applicants must have a full understanding of the principles, standards, and best practices of written communication.

  • The position requires someone that will be able to work independently to ensure documents meet governmental standards, and also be able to collaborate with team members and customers to produce high-quality written products for the customer.

  • Strong communication skills are essential, as the position will have a significant impact on the customer's perception of our team's professionalism and performance.

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or other government agency.

  • Experience using SharePoint sites.
