The Aviation Maintenance and Integration (AMI) Division of Leidos has an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Manassas, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to leading the electrical design, development, and fielding of innovative solutions for airborne ISR aircraft.
The Senior Electrical Engineer develops systems architectures, analyses, and designs electrical distribution for mission systems while serving as a resource, mentor, and leader to the integrated team of aviation professionals.
Lead and develop mission systems architectures for the integration of complex civilian and tactical systems.
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
Lead electrical designs for power distribution to avionics, mission systems, including development of block diagrams, schematics, and cable drawings.
Develop electrical loads analyses (ELA), determining impacts of aircraft and mission systems changes.
Interface between electrical shops, integrators, and engineering and tracking fabrication progress.
Provide integration support for mission systems, as needed.
Provide lead support to design review boards, technical review boards and change control boards.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of twelve (12) years of related experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Excellent communications skills to interface with customers and peers.
Proficient knowledge of computer systems and CAD packages.
Working knowledge of FAA FARs.
Experience and solid foundation of configuration management (CM) practices.
Eligible to obtain minimum of Secret clearance.
Knowledgeable on aircraft power plant.
Experience with the integration of a variety of airborne sensors (e.g., SIGINT, hyperspectral, EO/IR, RADAR, SAR, etc.).
Active Secret clearance.
