Systems Engineer (Expert)

Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI polygraph to work on intelligence community information technology (IT) contract in the Reston/Herndon/Chantilly, VA area.  Systems engineers are responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyzes user requirements and high-level system architecture to develop system requirements specifications

• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems

• Leads design and development activities.

• Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.

• Provides technical leadership for the integration of design requirements, and technology.

• Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.

• Provides guidance to system development/implementation planning by preparing system engineering management, system integration, and/or test plans.

Basic Qualifications:

• TS/SCI with Polygraph.

• Typically requires BS degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience.  May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
