Leidos currently has an opening for a Network Architect to provide network design support to the General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Digital Infrastructure Technologies (DIGIT) mission.
This position is a 100% telework opportunity and we are seeking candidates from across the contiguous United States.
This position requires the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation to access government facilities and systems. Per the contract, U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder status is required.
Designing and implementing computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
Performing network modeling, analysis, and planning. May also design network and computer security measures.
Researching and recommending network and data communications hardware and software.
Assisting in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Conducting computer network support development and performance evaluation reviews. Identify, develop, and update operational support standards and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field, and an understanding of the software development lifecycle, and DevOps toolsets/practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Certifications and/or experience with any of the following will be viewed favorably:
Google Cloud Professional Collaboration Engineer certification
Agile Scrum certification
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification
Working knowledge of ITIL 4
Experience with issue/problem tracking systems
Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo
Experience in a DevOps environment.
