The Defense Group currently has an opening for a Security Analyst role that is a full time opportunity with Leidos in the Virginia Beach, VA office in support of the SURTASS contract. The position is for a candidate who has interest in intellectually challenging and rewarding work and requires the candidate to be oversee management of the COMSEC/KMI and COMPOSE programs aboard USNS ships overseas and at JEB Little Creek Virginia Beach, Virginia. Normally does not perform direct tasks of group supervising, but may assist the Operations Manager and Program Manager as required.
The successful candidate must possess a valid US passport at time of hire (or have application in process), have the ability to travel successfully, complete a pre-employment screening and be able to obtain and maintain company charge cards in accordance with company policy. Provide recommendations, interpretations, and/or implementation of company and internal administrative policies and procedures; manage a combination of administrative tasks in such functional areas such as CDRL delivery, travel claim processing, and Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) reporting. Monitor the preparation of budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required by the Program manager. Ensures that project and contract CDRLS are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with governmental regulations within the NISPOM and requirements related to safeguarding and processing of classified information. The candidate must be able to familiarize and execute requirements within the NISPOM incorporating Change 2 for the management of Personnel Security, Physical and Environmental protection, incident handling, and Security training and awareness. They will also provide oversight of shipboard Information Security Network Security (ISNS) requirements and compliance with NETWARCOM directives. Manage and support IUSS Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) requirements including custodian/Local element training, shipboard KMI inspections, and compliance with ALCOM directives. The successful candidate will develop work assignments and assess performance of shipboard network administrators and KMI account holders.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of prior relevant experience
Experience in COMSEC, EKMS, KMI
Active Top Secret clearance is required
KMI Manager or equivalent experience
Proficient in MS Office applications Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in the use of computer/network systems and commonly used software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Resourceful in solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities.
Experience installing batches/patches/FAMS/MSUs on ISNS/ADNS systems
U.S. military experience with security instructions and directives
U.S. military experience with telecommunications
U.S. military experience with naval fleet operations
Security+ Certified
Professional Certifications/Affiliations.
