The Government Health and Safety Solutions Operation currently has an opening for an Operations Coordinator to support Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
The successful candidate will serve as the deputy to the Project manager typically responsible for organizing, directing, and managing multiple aspects of project execution for a portfolio of data analytic solutions. The projects involve ingesting data from multiple data sources, automating data cleansing & transformation, and visualization results through methods and channels. There are multiple concurrent software development and infrastructure initiatives. In collaboration with the program manager and other team members, the operations manager will provide direction of project activities, manage and maintain interface with customer organization, consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensure conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations. The operations manager will establish and provide technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, monitor issue resolution & risk mitigation, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, ensure quality deliverables, and the accomplishment of program mission.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s degree and over 2 years of relevant experience Experience leading software maintenance and development projects using Scrum or other agile methods Experience in creating and managing all project management artifacts including project management plans. Experience documenting and tracking issues and risks, facilitating and leading meetings, and creating appropriate documentation. Experience managing cost, schedule, and performance of projects using both agile and traditional methods Experience leading multiple teams consisting of both technical and non-technical staff Experience in serving as a liaison to both internal and external stakeholders Excellent people, analytical, technical, planning, and organizational skills. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
Understanding of Data Science practice, technology, tools, and techniques are strong preferred. Previous experience developing and supporting data analytic systems and solutions Experience supporting and managing solution with sensitive clinical and administrative data with PII and PHI Strong understanding of Electronic Health Records and interoperability Graduate degree in Public Health, Data Science, Information Technology, Laboratory Science, or Statistics Agile certification such as PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or similar qualifications A PMP certification Previous working experience at the CDC or other federal agencies Experience with coordinating HHS and/or CDC Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) governance process
