Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, VTC Technician.
This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DOD) organization located OCONUS in Del Din (Vicenza area), Italy.
This position is required to travel OCONUS.
Primary Responsibilities:
VTC Technicians require excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as thorough knowledge of AV/VTC hardware, software and network connections.
Must have expertise in scheduling VTC sessions in conferencing bridges, hands-on experience with debugging the inter-operation of VTC bridges and end points, as well as experience setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment (displays, microphones, sound boards).
Installing, configuring, and maintaining VTC endpoints. Installing and configuring VTC applications, system software and upgrades.
Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues. Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines. Supporting AV requirements for Command events and ceremonies.
Will be responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and troubleshooting hardware, software, computer peripherals, and AV equipment.
Assist employees via remote access, phone, or in person.
May also mentor or train other VTC Technicians. Candidates need excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity.
They must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of resources.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
Will operate, monitor and manage all networked AV systems to include AV routing matrix, integrated computer systems, network infrastructure, lighting, and associated peripherals. Develop, maintain, and update VTC Control Devices. As time allows, support the various VTC rooms throughout their Area of Responsibility. Conduct user training, provide status briefs, develop, update and maintain SOPs and operational guides on conference room AV systems. Provide initial troubleshooting regardless of IT system/device or network and/or service provider. Additionally, the VTC Technician will provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently hold an adjudicated Secret with ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
TESA Eligibility.
High School or higher education and 3-5 years relevant exp
Cisco CCNA.
Cisco/Tandberg/Polycom Certifications.
CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater).
Experience with Cisco Routers and Switches.
Experience with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems and networking.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cisco Collaboration Certifications.
ITIL v3 – Foundation.
CTS (Certified Technology Specialist).
AMX/Crestron/ThinkLogical Certifications
Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards.
Experience working with basic networking to include foundations of Cisco Routers and Switches.
Experience with DoD IT security requirement.
