Leidos has a career opening for a Accounts Receivable Billing Supervisor located in Tucson, AZ.
Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Billing Supervisor is responsible for all invoicing and accounts receivable activities for assigned organization/ programs. This role creates project invoices and coordinates with project team (PM, FN, PC, Contracts, etc.) as required. This role provides mentoring , training, and supervisory activities. This role reports into the Accounts Receivable Billing Manager. This role is accountable to ensure the Group’s invoice requirements are achieved. Also supports the attainment of the ARO performance metrics.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Understanding financial policies and reporting procedures, contract types and billing terms and conditions, job cost flow ,and indirect rate application
-Maintaining availability, supervising staff, and providing guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies and to grow them in their skills and experience
-Making decisions regarding work prioritization and staffing assignments while considering for the resulting financial impact
-Interfacing with customers, Project Managers, Contracts Personnel, Senior Technical Personnel, as well as other functional or support organizations regarding more complex contracts and issues to:
-Explain and provide billing information in regular review meetings
-Ensure the invoice with correct supporting documentation is sent to the customer
-Establishing plans and procedures for new assignments and participating in Project Setup meetings led by the Project Accountant
-Resolving problems including conflict resolution, project structuring, billing projects that have been set up incorrectly, etc. and recommend possible resolution alternatives and refer to manager for approval
-Escalating appropriately and in a timely manner
-Following established methods and desktop procedures for billing and holding subordinates accountable for the same
-Supervising the preparation of accurate and timely invoices for government and commercial customers via Costpoint in accordance with Corporate Financial Instructions and contract terms and conditions
-Analyzing invoices for accuracy
-Reviewing the Invoice Status Report daily and follows up with individuals as needed
-Providing data and support for periodic invoice review meetings
-Supporting analysts in aiding with the collections of aged receivables
-Reviewing and approving invoices as delegated per SOX requirement
-Ensuring common SLAs are met by holding Billing Analysts accountable for their tasks and aiding in the coordination between cash flow relevant departments and individuals
-Managing accurate and timely invoices for unusually complex projects and producing when Billing Analyst support is unavailable
-Endeavoring to establish and maintain a healthy team morale while ensuring company goals are met
-Holding structured monthly one on one meetings with subordinates to discuss performance and growth related topics
Basic Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related field). 4 - 8 years related experience; 1-2 years supervisory experience.
-Must have previous experience supervising employees of 8 -10.
