Job Description:

Leidos is seeking System Administrator to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. The System Administrator will support operations across multiple geographic locations. The System Administrator provides systems support using virtual application technology to maintain and deploy virtual applications in a large multi-enclave enterprise environment.  This administrator will help with CI/CD pipeline for application deployments by working with stakeholders to build deployment processes with existing toolsets.  This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met and ensure functionality of capabilities for customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot distribution of physical / direct installation and virtualized software application packages to workstation and VDI clients.

  • Rapidly distinguish isolated user problems versus service outages.  

  • Provide application distribution and license usage reports for each network at least quarterly.

  • Provide Tier 2 customer support for desktop application installations.

  • Ensure application configuration management database is maintained and current.

  • Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements.

  • Establish comprehensive availability and capacity management solution using lessons learned

  • Provide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for root cause analysis, engineering technical assessment and process improvement initiatives.  

  • Update operations and maintenance documentation for 24/7/365 infrastructure watch personnel.   

  • Maintaining application repositories within application delivery systems such as SCCM, XenApp, App-V, and other commercial products.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with interacting with customers to handle Tier 2 service inquiries and problems.

  • Experience working as a Tier 2/3 system administrator: familiar with using desktop software applications such as web browsing and client software, and IT Service Management software.

  • Working knowledge of application deployment processes. 

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and PowerShell Deployment Toolkit.

  • Experience with log reviews, incident analysis, and identification of issue trends    .

  • Extensive experience SCCM.

  • Experience with Microsoft AppV.

  • Time management skills.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Track record of working effectively within a team, and support to peers toward improved processes and results.

  • Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).

  • The candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree with 4-8 years, Master’s Degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience. Years of experience maybe used in lieu of a degree.  

  • US Citizenship is required. 

  • TS/SCI with Poly required for Position

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Foundation of knowledge around cloud services and the cloud ecosystem

  • ITIL Certification

  • Knowledge of IC IT standards and best practices.

  • Industry certification such as SCCM, Microsoft Server, Citrix, or VMWare certification
