Summary:
Leidos’s Office of Technology (OOT) has a collection of next generation cloud and managed services that are curated, enhanced and evolved at the speed of our partner CSP providers.  This position will lead the Center of Enablement serving as the champion of Leidos’s cloud capabilities and the facilitator of cross organizational exchange of cloud best practices. 

Job Description:
The Office of Technology (OOT) at Leidos has an immediate opening for COE Cloud Service Champion who will be joining and leading our exciting and newly formed Cloud Center of Enablement. Cloud Center of Enablement is the focal point of the Leidos cloud capability collaboration and the hub contributors and consumers exchange artifacts and techniques.  You will serve as an evangelist for cloud within Leidos and help foster a cloud first mentality as well as enable the transformation distributed to consolidated Cloud development and operations repositories. This person should have a solid understanding of cloud services and be able to lead a team of cross-functional application developers, infrastructure engineers, and security specialists to promote cloud-first architecture and implementations. You will also be responsible for supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; participating in various cloud enablement and advocacy activities, and coaching associates on various deployment models of Cloud. Some remote work and travel as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation leveraging a matrixed organization
•Help set and manage the corporate vision and strategy for cloud education planning and training roadmaps
•Research and evaluate emerging cloud technologies and proactively recommend areas where they can bring business value.
•Collaborate with client business and technology departments to define deliverables and develop solutions that are reusable across the organization
•Create written and oral communication artifacts that effectively summarize findings, support fact based recommendations and provides appropriate detail to substantiate conclusions
•Conduct research studies that may include collecting, analyzing, trending and presenting data and recommendations to management
•Assess and recommend technology solutions for increase cloud service adoption
•Proactively manage team demand/capacity in consultation with PMO, IT management, Product management, Enterprise Architecture, and rest of leadership team
•Provide cloud management services such as strategy, approaches, best practices, and procedures across the organization
•Champion the Infrastructure as Code transition
•Collaborate with stakeholders across Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Finance, and engineering teams, among others, to develop the global cloud strategy
•Empower product teams to reliably develop for the cloud at a fast pace
•Build a cloud team of experts to evangelize for a highly available, reliable, and secure cloud platform
•Guide cloud investment decisions to innovate for value
•Advise on cloud KPIs, metrics, and SLAs to measure cost, performance, and support baselines and track against standards and business requirements
•Operationalize consistent cloud migration procedures
•Support cloud security and compliance governance
•Manage knowledgebase for cloud best practices, standards, training material, etc.
•Continually curate content with other Leidos cloud experts
•Help maintain various cloud environments that enable R&D

Minimum Requirements:
•BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience.  Additional years’ experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
•Must LOVE collaboration and communication with small or large groups, you are the salesperson of our cloud capabilities and cloud goodness
•Must have a good understanding of AWS, Azure and GCP certification pathways
•Strong understanding of the latest in collaborating tooling (Confluence, Skype, Teams, Slack, etc.)
•Experience with at least one of the major CSP Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
•At least 1 CSP certification, prefer more
•Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, poweshell, JavaScript, Python (preferred))
•Understanding and experience with orchestration tools (Terraform, TerraGrunt, Ansible, Google Tools)
•Self-starter and problem solver a must, cannot wait for deep direction.
•Ability to complete tasking independently with minimal direct supervision.
•Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals.
•Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
•Ability to work and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications
•Familiarity with common protocols including but not limited to: DNS, SMTP, HTTP(s), SFTP, SCP
•Experience working with basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, REST, JSON)
•Experience working with a version control system (e.g., Git).
•Experience working with CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins)
•Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm)
•Experience working with Containerized applications and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
