Leidos is seeking a GIS Software Engineering Intern in Chantilly, VA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Command & Control ISR (C2ISR) Division has an opening for a GIS Software Engineer to assist with development and testing of a mature, commercial suite of GIS Products.
We are seeking a GIS Software Developer Intern to support software development activities for the GeoRover software program (www.georover.com). The candidate will be expected to support the development of software code to support requirements in the product line. Position is full-time for the May-August 2020 timeframe. The ideal candidate will also be able to support future internships in the same Chantilly, VA place of employment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, Develop, Test, and Debug software applications under the guidance of Senior Software Development Staff and Program Manager. Work collaboratively within a small team environment to develop creative solutions. Initiative and ability to work independently is essential.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Currently pursuing a BS in a technical field of study, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related degree program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
-Experience in the following: C# using Visual Studio, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Forms, .NET 3.5+.
-Demonstrated knowledge of GIS.
-Familiarity with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Desktop & ArcGIS Pro.
-Software integration experience in VMWare environment.
-Experience with source control tools such as: GIT, Subversion, or Perforce.
-Experience with software development tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins.
-U.S. Citizenship is required.
