Leidos is seeking a Sr. Technical Writer to support a large customer organization. Position is located in Bethesda, MD. Candidates must currently possess a current TS/SCI and Polygraph security clearance.
- Work as part of a Strategic Communications Team that implements communication strategies and projects.
- Perform editing of draft documents and briefings.
- Provide substantive and grammatical editing of all formal communications to assure quality and consistency with the approved editorial Style Guides, key message architecture and objective and subjective quality standards of the organization. “Translate” input from content “owners” into efficient and effective writing that effectively communicates with target audiences to get the desired result, in accordance with the organization’s and the specific initiative’s strategic communication plan.
- Develop writing standards, including but not limited to writing styles, naming conventions, references, and terminology to be used in documents and briefings.
Bachelor's Degree (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or Business). Requires 8-12 years of editing, proofreading, and writing IT technical documents aligned to developing, implementing, integrating, and evaluating IT architecture systems and 5 years of editing, proofreading, and writing IT technical documents aligned to developing, implementing, integrating, and evaluating IT architecture systems in the IC.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Detail-oriented, ability to consistently provide high-quality products that are concise, thorough and accurate.
