Job Description:

The Airborne Sensors and Analytics Division (ASAD) within the Defense Group of Leidos has a dynamic opportunity for a Cyber Lead on their Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program. This position is located in our Huntsville, Alabama offices. The Cyber Lead will support and drive a full spectrum of activities specifically focused on cyber security related to support of the UAS Scalable Control Interface (SCI) software integration program. In this program, cyber is inherent to all processes and phases of development. As such, the cyber lead will be responsible for leading a team of cyber engineers who work as individual contributors within each of the program teams. This includes working with the Architecture team to ensure security is built into the design; working with the Configuration Management (CM) team to provide required cyber-related documentation; working with the Software team to provide and support software security scanning tools; working with the SecDevOps team to incorporate and configure security tools as part of a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) tool chain; working with the Logistics and Test teams to configure and troubleshoot the physical and virtual TSIv2 stack; working with Leidos corporate security to ensure the UAS SCI tools and data are being processed and stored according to Leidos security requirements.

Other duties of the Cyber Lead will be technical in nature, and may include troubleshooting security lock-downs; performing compliance and vulnerability scanning; report generation and analysis; development, implementation, and documentation of fix actions; and routine maintenance of multiple systems’ security posture. Communication and interpersonal skills are crucial in this role. The candidate will be expected to interface with Government personnel, subcontractors, management, and Leidos corporate security to identify required activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables, and resolve issues. Candidate may be required to travel to assist in testing and perform security scans. As part of the larger ASAD group, the candidate may occasionally be called upon to assist with cyber work in other programs within the division and may be asked to contribute cyber material on proposals.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the Cyber Team in managing and maintaining the security posture of a test and development code and environment.
Utilize compliance and vulnerability security scan tools (e.g. Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Secured Compliance Automation Protocol (SCAP), etc) to evaluate and report on system security postures.
Use Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and NIST RMF workflows and processes to ensure compliance with DISA security requirements.
Develop technical and programmatic assessments, evaluate engineering and integration initiatives and provide technical support to assess security policies, standards and guidelines.
Support engineers of other disciplines in the security posture of products and systems.
Develop and maintain cyber documentation and diagrams.
Coordinate and communicate with US Army UAS stakeholders, end users, and internal & external customer and leadership.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security or related technical field with, at least, 8 years of relevant experience
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+ CE)
US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance within first 180 days of employment
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook)
Willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama if not local
Ability to lead and organize cyber team members and tasks, diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions, work and collaborate in team-based environment, and participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution

Preferred Qualifications:
CISSP or other DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification
Active Secret clearance
Master of Science degree in related technical field
Report and/or technical writing experience
Experience with System, Security, and SecDevOps tools, including Micro Focus Fortify Software Security Center (SSC) and Static Code Analyzer (SCA), Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Windows Server, and Linux
