More About the Role:
Leidos program is seeking a senior-level IT Service Management (ITSM) Continual Service Improvement (CSI) Process Manager to support efforts for NGEN-R; the candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing the Strategy, Design and CSI program to optimize fulfillment/delivery of all information technology services delivered by NGEN-R. NGEN-R is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of NGEN-R, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.

The successful candidate has the opportunity to shape this position from the very beginning. The job begins with transition activities that include analyzing and reviewing as-is technologies along with processes and procedures, process interfaces, performance levels, tools, and skills to facilitate transition of ITSM governance from the incumbent contractor to Leidos. Next, gap analysis will be performed to baseline the ITSM technologies and processes. CSI events may be scheduled during transition. The candidate will support hiring staff for the Strategy, Design and CSI team. Following successful transition to Leidos, the candidate will be responsible to lead a team in performing ongoing governance and driving introduction of leading edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Machine Learning, to optimize IT Service Management performance and efficiency of people, processes, and tools.

What You'll Get to Do:
•Support Leidos team Incumbent & Government interviews and Program Partnering Workshops to capture data and knowledge specific to job functions.
•Baseline historical process performance. 
•Support the performance of Gap Analyses - Review documentation & validate against what is done. Validate workflows, problem escalation rules, and roles. 
•Review as-is tools and technologies.
•Plan and lead CSI activities.
•Recommend advanced technologies for automating ITSM functions, define implementation plans and business case analyses, and design organizational change management strategies for deploying new technologies and automation capabilities.
•Establish & maintain transparent and respectful working relationships with Government & Incumbent leadership by site, team members, and Leidos representatives.
•Specify requirements for KPI reporting on real-time dashboard
•Monitor and report on process KPIs.
•Provide leadership, direction, and coaching for junior team members.  
•Engage with SMIT project manager managers, engineering service leads, and team members across SMIT’s geographically dispersed team.  
•Develop and implement staffing, training, and upskilling necessary to meet the skill mix and staffing efficiency requirements for engineering, operations, and projects support.
•Develop and implement rewards/recognition and career growth initiatives for engineering team members.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
•Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience managing the implementation and operation of ITSM processes aligned with ITIL framework.
•US Citizen and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
•Understanding of key ITSM processes to ensure that they are consistently deployed, executed, and continuously improved in alignment with business requirements. 
•Must have directly demonstrated expertise in systems documentation.
•Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
•Must obtain an ITIL 4 Foundation certification.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
•Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 Expert certification or.
•Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 Master certification or...
•ITIL 4 Strategic Leader certification.
•Experience with Navy Process Reference Model (NPRM).
•Experience with USMC Enterprise ITSM Framework processes.
•Ability to provide ITSM process training.
