Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a talented people/program manager to serve as Associate Director, Program Strategy located in Springfield, VA.

POSITION SUMMARY and RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Associate Director will lead and manage a team of 18 professionals in the Technology Innovation and Material Management Organization, to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.

This includes:

  • Leading staff in collaboratively solving problems in Cost/Value Engineering, Affordability, and Technical Solutions.

  • Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

  • Directing the analyses of technical data, engineering designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.

  • Managing the facilitation of technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement, in addition to managing design changes to mitigate production issues, business process re-engineering, and procurement tool deployments

  • Serving as a Supplier Relationship Manager for a large OEM Partner.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience

  • Highly skilled with project planning, scheduling, and coordination with a demonstrated history of developing technical solutions that meet program requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience with interfacing across multiple organizations and program levels.

  • Selected candidate must have history of developing BOMs, ROMs, and resource planning.

  • Experience with supplier coordination including hardware and software selection, maintenance issues, and problem resolution.

  • Experience in inventory planning, coordination, and tracking is highly beneficial  

  • Understanding in acquisition of Cloud, Cyber, and XaaS technologies

  • The ideal candidate will thrive under tight time constraints managing multiple priorities, personalities, and problems.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

To be considered for this position, candidates MUST possess an active, in-scope TS/SCI polygraph clearance.
