Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Network Monitoring Analyst at Offutt AFB, Omaha, NE.

This position will provide Network Operations (NetOps) incidents and Authorized Service Interruption (ASI) management Situational Awareness (SA) for DISA United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). This person will provide Situation Awareness of NetOps incidents and ASI whenever shared systems, equipment, servers, applications, or services are required to be down to accomplish either a short notice (uncoordinated) or pre-planned (coordinated) maintenance activities.

Currently, there are 2 shifts to fill, 6:00am-2:00pm and 1:00pm-9:00pm, and could grow to 24x7 ops  in the near future.

•Monitor, track, and report throughout USSTRATCOM Area Of Responsibility (AOR) and USSTRATCOM HQs on items such as system reboots, facility power events, software updates, implementation of security patches, hardware/upgrades/replacements, cable repairs/upgrades, routine preventive maintenance or other similar activity that will result in a service interruption. 
•Review ASI’s to identify conflicts and impacts to USSTRATCOM and DISA mission supporting Nuclear Command and Control enterprise (NC3).
•Analyze the written inputs from various NetOps organizations and assess the impact using on-site tools and then report the status verbally within the watch floor and provide a written situation report for each event. 
•Conduct senior level executive briefings.
•Prepare DISA priority/high interest NetOps incidents and ASI presentations or DISA’s morning operational brief.
•Track and report on high interest NetOps incidents and ASI items.
•Review ASI portal inputs, analyze the potential impacts of a local/Enterprise scheduled/unscheduled events; assess potential impacts to critical infrastructure and assets supporting assigned missions and report results of the analysis and assessment.
•Maintain situational awareness for DISA and USSTRATCOM leadership through monitoring, directing, coordinating, and de-conflicting DISA coordinated maintenance actions  
•Coordinate Periods of Non-Disruption (POND) impacting the USSTRATCOM AOR based on risk assessments and desired end-states, coordinate conflict resolution, escalate issues that cannot be resolved or de-conflicted to the DISA Battle Captain.
•This position may require rotational shift support.

•Bachelor's degree preferred and 4+ years of experience, additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
•2-3 years of network operations experience.
•Good oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to write reports free of spelling and grammatical errors.
•Ability to work day or swing shift Monday – Sunday with no more than 40 weekly hours.
•Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, & SharePoint)
•Strong oral, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
•Must have an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.

•In-depth knowledge of the ASI process across all DISA services including transport, application, and service.
•Familiarity with system applications used to perform this function: Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS), DISA OSS, and Global AoR Decision Support System (GADSS).
•Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
