THIS IS A FULL TIME TELEWORK/REMOTE POSITION
Leidos has an opening for a Network Administration Manager to support the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) End User Services (EUS) program. Leidos provides a stable and reliable End User environment to meet HUD’s strategic business goals and objectives. These End User support services requirements include LAN, Desktop and IMAC, Unified Communications, Webcast, Integration and Test, System Acceptance, Printing and Distribution, and SharePoint Collaboration services, as well as the ancillary Program Management, Enterprise Engineering, Performance Modeling, Configuration Management, Technical Assessments, Facility Management, and Security services that ensure efficient and effective End User solutions, standard IT processes, and compliance to IT regulations and guidance.
Primary Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for overall network administration support for a broad range of programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network. You will lead and manage the HUD Data Center LAN environment (core switches), Microsoft O365 firewall, High Definition (HD) Video Teleconference (VTC), Webcast, SSL VPN, Contractor Tunnels (VPN), Performance Analysis and Modeling, and Forescout (port security) support services teams.
Duties may include providing specifications for network architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments. Support level duties may include monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment. You will:
Provide measurable input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans in order to implement organizational strategies.
Communicate with parties within and outside of own project/family, which may include internal and external constituents depending upon the area. Requires ability to influence others outside of own project/family area on policies, practices and procedures.
Manage a small to mid-sized team consisting of experienced professionals. Leads, to include directing and reviewing the work of teams who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Provide primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance and rewards decisions for direct reports.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience and/or relevant certifications will be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience managing a large network environment
Experience with Cisco switch, router, firewall, and video teleconference architecture
Experience with virtual private network (VPN) client and IPSEC tunnels
Experience with webcast architecture
Experience working effectively with peers, Leidos leadership and customer leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading and managing the execution of processes and projects.
Any of the following certifications will be viewed favorably:
ITIL IV Foundation
Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Project management Professional (PMP)
Must be able to pass a HUD Public Trust background investigation. Due to contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residence status is required.
